OCRO puts an app or software product inside short videos on 1,000+ vetted meme pages, clip channels and culture accounts, and bills per million views delivered: $250 for a logo campaign and $2,500 for a clipping campaign. Clipmax, a SaaS product, ran a logo campaign that passed 15 million views in 10 days and recorded a 33% increase in sign-ups over the campaign.
This page is for founders and growth teams at consumer apps, mobile games and self-serve SaaS. It covers which format fits which product, what it costs next to paid social, how to measure installs and sign-ups from views that carry no click, and where this channel is the wrong choice.
What does a clipping agency do for an app?
It gets your product seen inside content people already scroll past on purpose, rather than inside an ad slot they skip. OCRO sells two formats for apps and software.
- Logo campaigns, $250 per million views. Your app icon or wordmark sits inside meme and clip content published by pages in the network. The content stays the page's own; your brand rides on it. This is the format Clipmax used.
- Clipping campaigns, $2,500 per million views. Your own footage is cut into short vertical clips and distributed: founder interviews, podcast appearances, product demos, screen recordings, launch videos or creator content you already hold the rights to.
Both run on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. The network reaches about 1.2 billion monthly views, and 63% of that audience is in the US and UK. Pages are hand-selected for each campaign by niche, platform and audience geography, so an AI writing tool and a fitness app would not normally run on the same pages.
Which format suits which product?
The short answer: use a logo campaign when the name is the message, and a clipping campaign when the product has to be seen working.
| Your situation | Format | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Consumer app with a memorable name or icon, launching or relaunching | Logo campaign ($0.25 CPM) | Repeated exposure at the lowest cost per view. Works when the name alone is enough to search for. |
| AI tool or utility whose output is the pitch (before and after, one-tap result) | Clipping campaign ($2.50 CPM) | The viewer needs to see the product do the thing. A logo cannot show that. |
| Founder-led SaaS with podcast, livestream or interview footage | Clipping campaign | Long recordings contain many short moments. Clipping turns one session into many posts. |
| Self-serve SaaS with a free tier or trial | Logo campaign first, clipping later | Cheap reach to build name recognition, then product clips once you know which angle converts. |
| Mobile game | Clipping campaign of gameplay, or logo on gaming pages | Gameplay sells itself in short form. A logo on gaming and culture pages builds recall around launch. |
What app content works on meme pages and clip channels?
Content that looks like something a viewer would have watched anyway. A feature list read to camera is an ad in a feed that does not want ads. Four patterns tend to hold attention for software:
- The result first. Show the output in the first second (the edited photo, the finished essay, the balance going up), then how it happened.
- A founder saying something specific. A clear, slightly contrarian claim from an interview travels further than a polished brand video.
- A real screen, not a mock-up. Screen recordings of the actual app read as honest. Keep the interface readable at phone size.
- Relatable problem, product as the punchline. This is where meme pages are strongest. For a logo campaign, the page's own joke carries the post and your logo carries the name.
You supply the footage and brand assets. OCRO cuts, formats and posts, and a person reviews every post before it goes live. For launch-specific content planning, see how to promote an app launch on social media and how to market a mobile game on social media.
Apps and SaaS: where this fits and where it doesn't
It fits products that a person can try on their own the same day they hear about them. It fits poorly where a sales team closes the deal.
Good fit: consumer and prosumer apps, mobile games, AI tools, creator tools, fintech and productivity apps with a free download, and SaaS with a free tier, trial or self-serve checkout. These products benefit from volume: a viewer who sees the name several times in a week is more likely to search for it, and the sign-up takes a minute.
Weak fit: enterprise B2B software sold through demos and procurement, where the buyer is a small, named group and the main short-form channel is LinkedIn. OCRO distributes on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts only. If your buyers are IT directors, a vendor that posts to LinkedIn, such as Lumina's SaaS arm (clippingagency.ai), is the more natural choice, and we would rather say so here than on a call.
Regulated app categories (real-money gaming, prediction markets, crypto exchanges) can run on niche-restricted page sets. See the iGaming marketing agency page and the prediction market marketing page for how those campaigns are scoped.
How much does app and SaaS clipping cost?
$250 per million delivered views for a logo campaign and $2,500 per million for a clipping campaign. $500 buys about 2 million logo views or 200,000 clipping views; $1,000 buys about 4 million or 400,000.
| Channel | Rate | Per million | What you are buying |
|---|---|---|---|
| OCRO logo campaign | $0.25 CPM | $250 | Delivered views on posts carrying your logo, reported per post. |
| OCRO clipping campaign | $2.50 CPM | $2,500 | Delivered views on clips cut from your footage, reported per post. |
| TikTok in-feed ads | $4.20 to $9.00 CPM | $4,200 to $9,000 | Ad impressions, with targeting and click attribution (Darkroom, 2026). |
| Meta ads, median across 17 industries | $15.06 CPM | $15,060 | Ad impressions, with targeting and click attribution (Triple Whale, Aug 2025 to Jul 2026). |
There is no contractual minimum. Campaigns under about one million views rarely give a readable signal, so the practical floor is about $250 for a logo campaign or $2,500 for a clipping campaign. A launch push is usually planned in the millions of views, for example 10 million logo views for $2,500. The full rate card is on the OCRO pricing page, and what a clipping campaign costs across the market covers other vendors' ranges.
How do you measure installs and sign-ups from views?
Set up measurement on your side before the first post, because most viewers of an organic post never click anything. OCRO reports views, likes and comments per post; installs and sign-ups are measured in your own analytics, using a mix of the methods below.
1. A campaign-specific store or landing link
Apple's App Store Connect can generate campaign links that attribute product page views, downloads and later sales to a campaign token. Apple only shows a campaign metric once it reaches a threshold of 5 in the selected date range, so very small tests may show nothing. On Android, Google Play custom store listings can be tied to a unique URL, which lets you give campaign visitors their own listing and count them separately. For SaaS, a UTM-tagged landing page does the same job. Use these links in your own bio, posts and replies, and ask any distribution vendor whether its placements can carry a link at all. Many organic placements cannot, which is why the next three methods matter.
2. A promo or offer code in the content
A code shown on screen in footage you supply survives screenshots and reposts, which links do not. Apple supports custom subscription offer codes (a named code such as SPRINGPROMO) that can be redeemed through a URL or in the app, with up to 1 million codes per app per quarter. For web SaaS, a coupon or trial-extension code works the same way.
3. Branded search and direct traffic against a baseline
Most of the effect of short-form exposure arrives as people typing your name into the App Store, Google Play or Google. Record your normal daily branded searches, store page views and direct sign-ups for two to four weeks before launch, then compare the campaign window. The lift over baseline is the number to judge, not raw totals.
4. Ask new users
One required "How did you hear about us?" question at sign-up, with TikTok, Instagram and YouTube as options, catches the people no link can trace. It is crude, and it is often the most complete signal an organic campaign produces.
Measure against sign-ups, not only views
Clipmax judged its logo campaign on sign-ups: a 33% increase over the campaign window, alongside 15M+ views in 10 days. That is a sign-up figure for a SaaS product, not the listener conversion rate reported for OCRO's music campaigns. Decide your success metric and your baseline before the campaign starts, then use the per-post view data to see which pages and posts moved it.
When should an app run a campaign?
Around a moment that gives people a reason to act: a launch, a major feature, a price change or a store feature. Most OCRO campaigns go live within 24 to 48 hours of brief approval, so the campaign can be timed to the day.
- Before launch: logo exposure on the right pages to make the name familiar, with a waitlist or pre-order link.
- Launch week: the heaviest volume, concentrated so the app appears in many feeds at once while store listings and tracking are live.
- After launch: a steady, smaller campaign on the pages and formats that moved your baseline.

What has this delivered for a software product?
Clipmax, a SaaS product, ran a logo placement campaign across the network. It passed 15 million views in 10 days, and Clipmax recorded a 33% increase in sign-ups over the campaign.
"Really appreciate what OCRO did for us! Results were delivered fast and on time. Content was high quality and they handled any questions I had during the process." (Mikael Olson, Clipmax)
Every campaign OCRO has run has closed at or above the view count it was booked for. The other named campaigns are on the OCRO case studies page.
How does an app campaign run?
- Brief. Send the product, the format, the target audience and markets, the reach you want and how you will measure results. You get back a flat rate and a projected view range. The contact form gets a reply within 24 hours.
- Page selection. Pages are hand-picked from a network vetted for audience quality, posting cadence and brand safety, by niche, platform and audience geography. A campaign can be restricted to a single niche.
- Review. A person reviews every post before it goes live.
- Live. Most campaigns go live within 24 to 48 hours of brief approval.
- Reporting. Your campaign dashboard link lists every post with its view, like and comment counts, pulled from the platforms. Billing follows delivered views.
Payment is by crypto (BTC, ETH, USDT and others), PayPal, CashApp or bank transfer. Escrow.com is optional and releases funds only after delivery is confirmed.

What is a clipping campaign for an app?
A campaign that places an app or its footage inside short videos posted by creator and meme pages, then reports the views delivered. At OCRO it is either a logo campaign ($250 per million views) or a clipping campaign of your own footage ($2,500 per million views).
Is meme marketing a good fit for a SaaS product?
For self-serve SaaS with a free tier, trial or quick checkout, yes, because repeated exposure turns into searches and sign-ups without a sales call. For enterprise software sold through demos, it is a weak fit, and a LinkedIn-led channel usually serves better.
Can you guarantee a number of installs or sign-ups?
No. OCRO sells delivered views, billed on delivery and reported per post. Installs and sign-ups depend on your product, store page and onboarding, so measure them with campaign links, offer codes and a branded-search baseline.
Do I need a large following of my own?
No. The posts go out on pages in OCRO's network, which already have their audiences. Your own accounts can repost the best clips if you want to.
Which platforms do app campaigns run on?
TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Pages are hand-selected for each campaign by niche, platform and audience geography.
What is the minimum budget?
There is no contractual minimum. Campaigns under about one million views rarely give a readable signal, so the practical floor is about $250 for a logo campaign or $2,500 for a clipping campaign.
How fast can an app campaign go live?
Most campaigns go live within 24 to 48 hours of brief approval, which makes it practical to time a campaign to a launch day or store feature.
What do I need to provide?
Your logo or icon files for a logo campaign, or your footage for a clipping campaign, plus your target markets and the date you want to go live. OCRO handles the cutting, formatting and posting.
