A clipping campaign turns long-form footage into short vertical clips and pays for the views those clips earn on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. OCRO runs clipping campaigns as a managed service at $2,500 per million delivered views ($2.50 CPM): we cut your content, post it on pages hand-selected from a network of 1,000+ vetted creator pages, and report every post.
This page covers how a campaign runs from brief to final report, what we need from you, what the price includes, how it compares with open marketplaces such as Whop and Vyro, and when a marketplace is the better choice.
What is a clipping campaign?
A clipping campaign is paid distribution for footage you already own. The footage is cut into short clips, the clips are posted on accounts other than yours, and the buyer pays per thousand views rather than per post.
The model grew up in music and live streaming. Variety describes campaigns in which clippers are paid "$1 to $5 for every 1,000 impressions until they hit a predetermined cap", with campaign budgets that "run on average anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000". The appeal is simple: a streamer's VOD or a podcast episode holds dozens of moments that a stranger would watch for thirty seconds, and nobody on the creator's own team has the time to cut and post all of them.
There are two ways to buy one:
- Open marketplace. You post a brief and a rate per thousand views on a platform such as Whop Content Rewards or Vyro. Any clipper who joins cuts your footage and posts it on their own accounts, and you pay for the views their clips earn.
- Managed campaign. An agency chooses the accounts, handles the cutting and the review, and bills you for delivered views. OCRO works this way.
The word also gets confused with two other things. It is not press clipping, which is media monitoring. And it is not an AI clipping tool, which cuts files for you to post yourself.
How does an OCRO clipping campaign work, start to finish?
Six steps, from brief to report, and most campaigns go live within 24 to 48 hours of brief approval. You approve the brief; after that, the work is ours.
- Brief. You tell us the goal, the number of views you want, the audience geography that matters, and the hard rules: anything a clip must never say, show or imply. We come back with a flat CPM and a projected view range.
- Source. You send links to the content: Twitch or Kick VODs, YouTube videos, podcast episodes, interviews, product demos or event footage. Links are enough. You do not supply edits.
- Page selection. We hand-select pages for your campaign by niche, platform and audience geography. A campaign can be restricted to one kind of page, for example sports pages only.
- Cutting. Your footage is cut into short vertical clips, captioned and formatted for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
- Review. A person reviews every post before it goes live.
- Posting and reporting. Clips are posted daily on the selected clipping pages. Your campaign dashboard link lists every post with its view, like and comment counts, pulled from the platforms, and billing follows delivered views.
What does OCRO need from you?
A link to your content or VODs, a view target and your rules. We confirm anything else when you submit the brief.
| If you are | Send | Worth telling us |
|---|---|---|
| A streamer | VOD links, or your channel if recent broadcasts are public | Segments that are off limits, such as sponsor reads or private moments, and how viewers should find your channel |
| A podcast | Episode links, video if you record it | Timestamps of moments you already know land, guests who should not be clipped |
| A brand or founder | Product demos, founder interviews, talks, launch or event footage | Claims that legal has not approved, product names that must appear correctly |
| Everyone | Your view target and audience geography | How you want to be credited on screen or in captions |
The quality of the source sets the ceiling. A good cut can tighten a moment and put the payoff in the first two seconds, but it cannot find a moment that is not in the footage. Long, conversational footage with strong reactions gives us the most to work with.
What formats does a clipping campaign use?
Short vertical clips cut from your own footage, posted on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. If you want your logo or your song inside other people's content instead, that is a different campaign type with a lower rate.
| Campaign type | What gets posted | Per million views |
|---|---|---|
| Clipping campaign | Clips cut from your streams, episodes or videos | $2,500 |
| Logo campaign | Your logo or watermark inside meme and clip content | $250 |
| Music promotion | Your track used as the audio on posts across the network | $200 |
| Custom or multi-format | Blends of the above, multi-month or niche-restricted runs | Quoted individually |
The clipping rate is ten times the logo rate because the work is different. In a logo campaign your mark is added to content a page was going to post anyway. In a clipping campaign the post itself is built from your footage, cut and reviewed for your campaign alone.
How much does a clipping campaign cost?
$2,500 per million delivered views, or $2.50 per thousand. There is no contractual minimum, but about one million views ($2,500) is the practical floor for a result you can read.
| Budget | Delivered views at $2.50 CPM | What it is good for |
|---|---|---|
| $500 | About 200,000 | Checking a vendor's process, not measuring growth |
| $1,000 | About 400,000 | A small test, still below a readable signal |
| $2,500 | About 1,000,000 | The practical floor for a first campaign |
| $5,000 | About 2,000,000 | A first campaign with room to compare clips and pages |
| $10,000 | About 4,000,000 | A launch window or a month of steady distribution |
Below about a million views the numbers are too small to tell a real effect from normal variance, which is why that is the floor we suggest rather than a rule we enforce. To convert your own budget into views, use the CPM calculator. For a market-wide breakdown of what drives price, read what a clipping campaign costs.
What does the $2.50 CPM include?
The cut, the posting, the page selection, a human review of every post and per-post reporting. On an open marketplace most of that work is yours.
- Cutting and captioning. You send links, not edits.
- Daily posting on dedicated clipping pages, hand-selected for your campaign from 1,000+ vetted creator pages with about 1.2 billion monthly views, 63% of them in the US and UK.
- Vetted supply. Pages are vetted for audience quality, posting cadence and brand safety before they join, rather than drawn from an open sign-up pool.
- Human review of every post before it goes live.
- A dashboard link per campaign listing each post with its view, like and comment counts, pulled from the platforms.
- Billing on delivered views. Every campaign OCRO has run has closed at or above the view count it was booked for.
- Payment options. Crypto, PayPal, CashApp or bank transfer, with optional Escrow.com that releases funds only after delivery is confirmed.
Not included: filming or scripting new content, paid media buying, posting on your own accounts, and any promise of followers, subscribers or sales. You are buying distribution that you can check post by post.
Managed clipping campaign or open marketplace?
Open marketplaces such as Whop Content Rewards and Vyro usually cost less per view, and they are the better choice for a small budget or a team that can run the campaign itself. A managed campaign costs more because the operation is part of the price.
The market rate is lower than ours, and we would rather say so here than have you find out later. MIDiA Research notes that many clipping campaigns "cost as little as $1 CPM". Whop's own blog says Content Rewards clippers are paid about $1 per 1,000 views on average, with each brand setting its own rate. At that rate $2,500 would buy roughly 2.5 million views on a marketplace against one million from OCRO, before any platform fees. OCRO's $2.50 sits inside the $1 to $5 range Variety reported for clipper payouts, but above the headline marketplace figure.
| OCRO (managed) | Whop Content Rewards | Vyro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $2,500 per million views, published | You set the rate; clippers paid about $1 per 1,000 on average | You set a budget and a maximum CPM |
| Minimum | None contractual; about $2,500 in practice | Not stated on the page reviewed | $1,000 |
| Who cuts the clips | OCRO | Clippers who join the campaign | Creators who join the campaign |
| Where clips are posted | Pages hand-selected from a vetted network | Clippers' own accounts | Creators' own accounts |
| Review before posting | A person reviews every post before it goes live | You choose creators and screen submissions; bot-detection tools provided | Automated scan and human review before a clip counts toward spend |
| Time to first posts | 24 to 48 hours after brief approval, for most campaigns | Depends on how quickly clippers pick up the brief | First clips within 72 hours; full ramp in 5 to 7 days |
| Unspent budget | Billed on delivered views | Pay only for views earned | Refunded at campaign end |
| Creative variety | Clips cut to one brief | Many independent editors, many takes on the same footage | Many independent editors, many takes on the same footage |
| Reporting | Dashboard link listing every post with views, likes and comments | Real-time dashboard on Whop | Real-time campaign dashboard |
When a marketplace is the better fit
- Your budget is under about $2,500 and you want to try the channel. Vyro's stated minimum is $1,000.
- You want the lowest cost per view and can accept more variation in quality between clips.
- Someone on your team can write the brief, screen submissions and deal with clippers.
- You want hundreds of different edits of the same footage to find out which hooks work.
- Your own community already clips you and you want to pay them for it.
When a managed campaign is the better fit
- You want one flat rate and a projected view range agreed before anything runs.
- You want to know what kind of pages will carry your content, or to restrict it to one niche.
- You need a person to check every post before it is public.
- Nobody on your team has time to run campaign operations.
- You want posts live within a day or two of approving the brief.
Other managed agencies rarely publish a rate. Lumina, for example, quotes a custom CPM with campaigns starting at $5,000 (self-reported). For side-by-side detail see OCRO vs Whop, OCRO vs Vyro, alternatives to Whop Content Rewards for brands and the clipping agency comparison.
What results have OCRO campaigns delivered?
Coinplay ran a sports-pages-only campaign that delivered 5M+ views in one month. Every campaign OCRO has run has closed at or above the view count it was booked for.
Coinplay, in its CMO's words
"OCRO really crushed it. We ran a clipping campaign and the deliverables blew our minds. Will be coming back again in the future" (David Conti, CMO, Coinplay)
Most of OCRO's other published results come from music and logo campaigns rather than clipping: Tone Sinatra received 7.5M views on a 2.5M-view order, and Clipmax ran a logo placement campaign that delivered 15M+ views in 10 days with a 33% increase in sign-ups. All five named results are delivered figures from the OCRO dashboard and are written up on the OCRO case studies page. They are self-reported, not independently audited.
Who uses clipping campaigns?
Anyone with more good footage than time to cut it: streamers, podcasts, founders and brands in categories where paid ads are hard to buy.
Streamers
Live platforms tend to surface channels that already have viewers, so a small streamer's best moments rarely reach anyone new. Clips on short-form pages reach people who were never going to browse a category page. We cover the buyer's side in why Twitch streamers buy clipping campaigns, and the mechanics of turning a clip viewer into a live viewer in how streamers grow their audience using clip pages.
Podcasts
A one-hour conversation usually holds several moments that make sense to a stranger with no context. A clipping campaign puts those moments in front of people who do not listen to podcasts in an app. The podcast clipping agency page covers what that does and does not do for a show, and when an AI tool or an editor fits better.
Founders and brands
Product demos, founder interviews and conference talks are footage most companies post once and forget. For apps, see app marketing on clip and meme pages.
iGaming, sportsbooks and crypto
Paid advertising is harder to buy in these categories. See the casino clipping agency and sportsbook marketing pages for how campaigns run there.
When is a clipping campaign the wrong choice?
When there is little footage to cut, when you need attributed sales this week, or when what you really want is clips on your own channel.
- No source material. A channel that streams once a month or a brand with one trailer will run out of moments quickly.
- Direct response on a deadline. Clipping builds awareness. It does not give you a click trail from each view to a sale.
- Clips for your own feed. If the goal is to post on your own accounts, hire an editor or use an AI clipping tool. You will pay far less.
- A budget under about $2,500. Consider a marketplace, or a logo campaign at $250 per million views.
- Content that needs making first. We cut and distribute what exists; we are not a production studio.
Who is responsible for disclosing paid clips?
Under the FTC's endorsement guidance, the brand can be liable as well as the person posting, so agree how paid clips are disclosed in the brief.
The FTC's guidance for advertisers says a company may be liable if endorsements "fail to disclose unexpected material connections", including "by hiring and directing endorsers who fail to make necessary disclosures". Variety reported that the FTC has not set clipping-specific rules and declined to comment on clipping. That gap is not permission. Raise disclosure at briefing, especially for regulated categories, and take your own legal advice for each market.

What is a clipping campaign?
A clipping campaign is paid distribution for long-form footage you already own. The footage is cut into short vertical clips, the clips are posted on accounts other than yours, and you pay per thousand views delivered rather than per post.
How much does a clipping campaign cost?
OCRO charges $2,500 per million delivered views, which is $2.50 per thousand. $1,000 buys about 400,000 views and $2,500 buys about one million. Custom, multi-format, multi-month and niche-restricted campaigns are quoted individually.
Why does OCRO cost more per view than Whop or Vyro?
On an open marketplace you pay for views and run the campaign yourself: the brief, the creator screening and the review. OCRO's rate includes the cutting, hand-selected pages, a human review of every post, daily posting and per-post reporting. If you have a team to run a campaign, a marketplace will usually cost less per view.
What do I need to send to start?
A link to your content or VODs, the number of views you want, the audience geography you care about, and anything a clip must never say or show. We confirm anything else when you submit the brief.
How fast does a clipping campaign go live?
Most campaigns go live within 24 to 48 hours of brief approval.
Do the clips post on my own accounts?
No. A clipping campaign distributes through pages in OCRO's network, chosen for your campaign, so the clips reach people who do not already follow you. If you want clips on your own channels, an editor or an AI clipping tool is the better fit.
Which platforms do you post on?
TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Is there a minimum spend?
There is no contractual minimum. Campaigns below about one million views rarely give a readable signal, so the practical floor for a clipping campaign is about $2,500.
How do I pay?
By crypto (BTC, ETH, USDT and others), PayPal, CashApp or bank transfer. Escrow.com is optional and releases funds only after delivery is confirmed.
Is a clipping campaign the same as a press clipping service?
No. Press clipping is media monitoring: collecting mentions of your brand in the news. A clipping campaign is short-form video distribution. If you want press monitoring, you need a media monitoring tool, not a clipping agency.
