A podcast clipping agency cuts episodes into short vertical clips and puts them in front of people who do not listen to the show yet. OCRO does this as a clipping campaign: we cut the episode, post the clips on pages hand-selected from a network of 1,000+ vetted creator pages on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, and bill $2,500 per million delivered views.

That is distribution. It is not podcast production, and it is not an AI clipping tool. If you need one of those instead, this page says so and points you to the better option.

What does a podcast clipping agency do?

It depends on the agency, because the same label covers four different services. They differ on who posts the clips, whose audience sees them, and what you pay for.

ServiceWhat you getWho posts, and wherePublished pricing examples
AI clip tool (OpusClip, Choppity) Captioned vertical clip files, generated from an upload in minutes You, on your own accounts Choppity: free plan, then $12 or $25 a month
Clip editor or podcast studio (Thursday Labs, clip-only editors) Hand-picked, branded clips; studios also produce the show itself You or the studio, on your own accounts One clip-only provider lists $1,000 a month for 20 clips; studio pricing not published in the sources reviewed
Managed posting on your accounts (Overlap) Clips cut and published for you under rules you set The provider, on accounts your show owns $0.50 to $2.50 per 1,000 views delivered
Clipping campaign (OCRO, Lumina, Clipping Culture, Clipping Agency) Clips cut and posted across many accounts that are not yours The network, on its own pages OCRO: $2,500 per million views. Lumina: from $5,000. Clipping Culture: priced by target view volume
Competitor models and prices are self-reported, read from public pages on 29 September 2026 and linked in the sources below. The clip-only figure is as reported by Trueframe; the Thursday Labs description is from Overlap's review.

The choice comes down to one question. Do you want better clips on your own channel, or views from people who have never heard of the show? The first is an editing job. The second is a distribution job, and that is what OCRO sells.

What does OCRO do for a podcast, and what does it not do?

OCRO cuts clips from episodes you have already published and distributes them across its network. It does not make the show, run your channels or promise listener numbers.

What a campaign includes

  • Episodes cut into short vertical clips with captions.
  • Pages hand-selected for the campaign by niche, platform and audience geography. A sports show can be restricted to sports pages only.
  • A person reviews every post before it goes live.
  • Clips posted daily on dedicated clipping pages across TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
  • A dashboard link listing every post with its view, like and comment counts, pulled from the platforms.
  • Billing on delivered views, with no retainer.

What it does not include

  • Recording, editing or mixing full episodes, or producing a video podcast. For that, hire a podcast production studio.
  • Show notes, RSS management, or posting on your own YouTube, TikTok or Instagram accounts.
  • A software login. There is no tool to operate; you send links and approve a brief.
  • A promised number of downloads, subscribers or followers.

How does a podcast clipping campaign work?

You send episode links and a view target, we return a projected view range, and most campaigns go live within 24 to 48 hours of brief approval.

  1. Pick the episodes. Recent episodes work, and so does the back catalogue. An interview from last year with a moment that still stands up is as useful as this week's episode.
  2. Write the brief together. It covers the view target, the audience geography, how the show is credited on screen or in the caption, and what is off limits: sponsor reads, guests who asked not to be clipped, anything legally sensitive.
  3. Choose the pages. Pages are hand-selected for the show's subject and audience, not drawn at random from an open pool.
  4. Cut and review. Moments are cut into short clips and a person reviews every post before it goes live.
  5. Post and report. Clips go out daily across the selected pages. Each post appears on your dashboard with its views, likes and comments, and you are billed on the views delivered.

Which podcast episodes make good clips?

Episodes with moments that make sense to a stranger in the first two seconds. Strong opinions, stories with a payoff and real disagreement between hosts travel well; inside jokes and long setups do not.

  • The stranger test. Would someone who has never heard the show understand the clip with no context? If the moment depends on something said twenty minutes earlier, it will not work out of context.
  • Video over audio. Faces, reactions and interruptions give the edit something to cut to. Audio-only shows can use waveform clips, but they give viewers less reason to stop scrolling.
  • Length and density. A long, conversational episode usually holds more usable moments than a tightly scripted short one.
  • Guests. A recognisable guest helps, as long as your guest agreement covers short clips of their appearance.
  • Consistency. A weekly show gives a campaign fresh material to rotate. One great episode gives it a single spike.

How much does podcast clipping cost with OCRO?

$2,500 per million delivered views, or $2.50 per thousand. A weekly show that wants about 250,000 clip views per episode would budget about $2,500 a month.

Monthly budgetDelivered viewsPer episode, weekly show
$1,000About 400,000About 100,000
$2,500About 1,000,000About 250,000
$5,000About 2,000,000About 500,000
$10,000About 4,000,000About 1,000,000
Derived from the published $2,500 per million rate, assuming four episodes a month. Multi-month and niche-restricted campaigns are quoted individually.

There is no contractual minimum. Below about one million views the result is hard to tell apart from normal variance, so $2,500 is the practical floor for a first campaign. Compared with the other models, this is expensive per clip and cheap per view: an AI tool costs a small monthly fee but reaches only your own followers, and the clip-only editor example above works out at $50 a clip and still leaves the reach to you. The CPM calculator converts any budget into views.

Will clips grow my listener numbers?

They can raise awareness of the show, but a view is not a listener. Measure what happens on your own channels during the campaign rather than expecting the clip dashboard to show downloads.

The OCRO dashboard reports views, likes and comments for each post. Downloads, follows and subscriber counts live in your hosting and platform analytics. To read a campaign fairly:

  • Note your weekly follower and download numbers for a month before the campaign, so there is a baseline.
  • Watch search interest in the show's name and the host's name while clips are running.
  • Read the comments on the posts. "What podcast is this?" is a good sign that people want to find the show. A clip with no credit gives them no way to do it.
  • Judge a campaign over several episodes, not one clip.

When is an AI tool or an editor the better fit?

When you want clips on your own channel, when the budget is a few hundred dollars a month, or when the show itself still needs making.

  • You want to grow your own accounts. Clips from a campaign build reach on other pages. An editor or an AI tool builds your own feed.
  • Your budget is small. An AI clip tool at $12 to $25 a month is the right place to start, and it will teach you which moments work.
  • You want to own the audience. A service that posts on accounts your show owns, such as Overlap, keeps the followers with you.
  • The show is not made yet. A podcast studio can produce it; we can clip it once episodes exist.
  • You publish rarely or briefly. Short, infrequent episodes do not give a campaign enough material.

A clipping campaign fits a show that publishes regularly, has moments that stand on their own, has already tried posting clips on its own channel, and now wants reach beyond the people who already follow it.

What results can you show for podcasts?

None yet. OCRO's five published case studies are music, logo and sports-page campaigns, not podcasts. We would rather say that than borrow numbers from another format.

What carries over is the delivery record. Every campaign OCRO has run has closed at or above the view count it was booked for, and every post is listed on the campaign dashboard so you can check the count yourself. Coinplay ran a sports-pages-only campaign that delivered 5M+ views in one month; its CMO, David Conti, said: "OCRO really crushed it. We ran a clipping campaign and the deliverables blew our minds. Will be coming back again in the future". The full set is on the OCRO case studies page.

Have episodes worth clipping? Send links to two or three episodes and your view target. You get back a flat CPM and a projected view range, and the contact form gets a reply within 24 hours.

Common questions

What is a podcast clipping agency?

A company that cuts podcast episodes into short vertical clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Some only edit the clips for you to post, some also produce the show, and some, like OCRO, distribute the clips across a network of pages and bill per view.

How much does a podcast clipping agency cost?

It depends on the model. OCRO charges $2,500 per million delivered views ($2.50 CPM), so $2,500 buys about one million views. AI clip tools cost a monthly subscription, and clip-only editors charge per clip or per month; the table on this page lists published examples.

Is OCRO a podcast production company?

No. OCRO does not record, edit or publish full episodes, and it does not run your show's channels. It cuts clips from episodes you have already published and distributes them across its network of creator pages.

How is this different from OpusClip or other AI clip tools?

An AI tool gives you clip files to post on your own accounts, and the reach is limited to your own following. A clipping campaign posts the clips on pages chosen for your campaign, so they reach people who do not follow the show, and you pay per view delivered.

Do the clips post on my show's accounts?

No. They are posted on pages in OCRO's network, chosen for your campaign by niche, platform and audience geography. If you want clips on your own channels, an editor or an AI clip tool is the better fit.

Can you clip an audio-only podcast?

Clipping works best from video, because faces and reactions give the edit something to cut to. Tell us at briefing if the show is audio-only and we will tell you whether a campaign makes sense for it.

How fast can a podcast clipping campaign start?

Most campaigns go live within 24 to 48 hours of brief approval.

What do you need from me?

Links to the episodes you want clipped, your view target, the audience geography you care about, how the show should be credited, and anything that must not be clipped. We confirm anything else when you submit the brief.

Is there a minimum spend?

There is no contractual minimum. Campaigns below about one million views rarely give a readable signal, so the practical floor is about $2,500.
